HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN
TELEPHONE ADVICE? - Telephone (020) 8655 1223
The receptionists will take messages for the doctors, if required, which
will be passed to the relevant person at the end of the surgery. Please
let the receptionist know if you need an urgent response and they will
try and assist you.
HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT? - Telephone (020) 8655 1223
We have an appointment system for the surgery but will endeavour to
offer appointments the same day if really urgent, especially for babies/children.
If
seeking an urgent appointment, please only discuss the main problem
and make another non-urgent appointment to discuss long-standing or
detailed problems.
If
you think you need to be seen urgently, please telephone before 10.00am
when there are more doctors on duty and more appointments available.
Please be realistic regarding complaints and ask for telephone advice
if unsure.
Only
one person will be seen per appointment and, if you feel you have a
complex problem which needs addressing, please advise the receptionist
who will book a double non-urgent appointment for you.
DELAYS/CANCELLATIONS
Please let us know if you are likely to be delayed or are unable to
keep your appointment - we have approximately 50 wasted appointments
per month which are not kept or cancelled. If we are notified we will
be able to offer the appointments to other people.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT? -
Telephone (020) 8655 1223
All requests for home visits are discussed with the general practitioners
and it is helpful, if possible, to make requests before 10.00am to enable
the visiting doctor to attend to the most urgent problem first. Home
visiting takes up much more doctor time and we ask patients to attend
the surgery wherever possible. The best facilities for treatment and
investigation are available at the surgery. A feverish child will come
to no harm being brought to the surgery and can usually be seen sooner.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
Please bring or send the slip provided with repeat prescription drugs
to reception and allow 48 hours for collection. (Put a tick beside the
items required.) To avoid errors, we are unable to take requests for
repeat prescriptions over the telephone but they can be faxed on 020
8656 7984 and clearly marked for this practice.
If
you would like the prescription returned to you, please enclose a stamped
addressed envelope, otherwise they will be kept at reception until collected.
HOW
DO I...
CHANGE MY DETAILS?
Please let us know if you change your name, address or telephone number.
HOW
DO I...
MAKE A SUGGESTION/COMPLAINT?
We always try to provide the best service possible but there may be
times when you feel this has not happened.
If
you have a complaint please speak to our practice manager or ask the
receptionists for information on the complaints procedure.
Details
will be taken and we will endeavour to respond within seven days, either
in writing or by inviting you to attend to discuss your concerns.
We
welcome suggestions at any time; please address them to the practice
manager or place them in a box at reception.
